Ride Society Snowboard

Summer time is here and it’s time to get out and do all that fun stuff that the good weather brings. It’s great to see all the parks full and the kids out having fun. The snowboard park is no different its crazy busy daily. It’s a treat to go to the park and watch these kids, with no respect for safety, just killin the jumps and rails.

This one dude intrigued me and I asked what equipment he was using. He said he was using the Ride Society Snowboard and it was a sick piece of board. He explained it as the mega poppy, light weight Ride Society Snowboard is designed to make him ride way too fast and get in the air as much as possible. Well from where I was watching it was definitely doing the job.

It’s actually quite an experience to watch these extremists work their boards. There were actually quite a few other snowboarders that were watching the rider on the Ride Society Snowboard. It’s neat as they all have respect for each other and their abilities yet they are out there day after day trying to do better and go higher than the next one. As well as great entertainment one can also learn an awful lot about snowboards as well. Each rider is always quick to explain to those interested all about their board.

It’s obvious from above that the Ride Society Snowboard is maxed and has everything the serious snowboarder wants. I also found it important to understand the snowboarders was to understand some of their jargon, let’s look at some of it:

• Boned out- this is used to explain the emphasis on a trick. If someone boned out on a trick then they did well.
• Front- this is the ultimate description of euphoria.” Dude he pulled off a Front Airdog” If you are out there doing tricks you want to hear this word, you know you are doing well.
• Airdog- this describes a snowboarder who jumps most of the time and likes the arial tricks.
• Bail- to start to do a trick and then decide not to
• Corked- this is freestyle used to describe an off axis rotation
• Fake to Ass- when you are attempting to ride a rail and you fall off on your ass
• Oscar- someone who has all the nicest equipment, like the Ride Society Snowboard, all  the other stuff yet totally sucks at snowboarding
• Shitter- this is when you wipe out real bad and eat lots of snow, when at the park you don’t want to hear someone say “that dude just took a mad shitter”
